Dell's notebooks are always stunning to say the least, but now there are two notebooks which stand above the rest, the Dell Inspiron E1505 battery and Inspiron 6400 notebooks. Dell Inc., today announced these two notebook computers offering performance and multimedia features to help keep mainstream users productive by day and entertained at night. The two notebooks are absolutely a slim package notebooks weighing just about 6 pounds, now! thats a lot less for a dual-core processor notebook.

Movies and applications alike looked great on the bright, wide-aspect screen. The optional TrueLife coating ($29), included in the price we were quoted for this laptop, adds 10 percent more contrast than a standard antiglare coating. Graphics editors and spreadsheet jockeys may want to opt for the higher-pixel-density WSXGA 1680-by-1050-pixel screen ($80 more).

The Inspiron E1505 battery is well designed overall. The tricolor E line’s cheerful white trim makes it stand out in a sea of black-and-silver notebooks. Despite its slightly hard keystroke, I found typing a pleasure, in no small part due to the big touchpad and the mouse buttons, which depress deeply into the case.

After review, NotebookReview said “The Dell Inspiron e1505 is a fairly run-of-the mill notebook for a bargain price, but it offers a few surprises. The 2 GHz Core Duo CPU is rockin’ fast. Even with this performance, battery life was impressive, and 5+ hours should be possible with the optional 9-cell dell inspiron 6400 battery. My only real gripe is with the screen. The slight shimmer, light leakage, and brightness that seems like it’s turned down half a notch make it fall behind other notebooks. Still, the screen is better than most bargain notebooks, and better than anything from a few years ago. It’s also very sharp and high resolution. This, along with the nice keyboard, makes for a positive ergonomic experience.”

The E1505s start out at $629 while being nicely equipped. The default CPU is the 1.73GHz Intel Core Duo T2250 which would work well for the average user. If you want more power, you can upgrade to Intel's latest processor family, the Core 2 Duo. The baseline 1.66GHz Core 2 Duo T5500 is $100 over the starting price and faster Core 2 Duos go up from there.

Dell inspiron 1521 battery includes a serviceable 512 MB of RAM at baseline, with 1 GB available at just $65 more. Going with just the Core Duo processor and this amount of RAM, the E1505 will be a stalwart portable computer for everything from basic office tasks to more intensive operations such as handling large graphics and video.

Specifications:

  • Type: General Purpose, Media, Value
  • Operating System: MS Windows XP Media Center
  • Processor Name: Intel Core Duo T2300
  • Processor Speed: 1.67 GHz
  • RAM: 1 GB
  • Weight: 6.6 lb
  • Screen Size: 15.4 inches
  • Screen Size Type: widescreen
  • Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon X1300
  • Storage Capacity: 80 GB
  • Networking Options: 802.11a/g
  • Primary Optical Drive: Dual-Layer DVD+/-RW

The first thing to notice from this Dell Inspiron e1505 review is the screen size. The e1505 is the mid-sized version in this series of Dell laptops. This means that it offers a 15.4-inch widescreen display.

This size screen is perfect for those that are looking for a screen that isn't too big but still is very portable. Another big advantage to the 15.4-inch screen is its price.

The Dell Inspiron e1505 is the cheapest of the the dell inspiron 6400 battery, e1505, e1705 series. This is probably the biggest reason for choosing this laptop. It is also our choice for the best college student laptop. You get a quality laptop at a very affordable price.

Preinstalled software includes Corel Photo Center and Windows Digital Media Enhancements, which includes Windows Party Mode, a full-screen skin that transforms your computer into a jukebox. Dell MediaDirect allows users to access movies, music, photos, and video without needing to boot into Windows. If you want a TV tuner to complete the multimedia experience, you'll need to fork over an additional $130, which also gets you a remote control.

Connectivity options abound: four USB ports, S-Video, FireWire, a 5-in-1 media card reader, and a VGA connection are available for attaching peripherals. The dell inspiron 1501 battery also features optional Bluetooth ($49) for syncing with certain phones and for pairing a wireless headset with the notebook for making Skype calls.

Dell's Inspiron E1505 recently got an upgrade to its processor offering the newer Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 dual core processor. This lets the system support the upcoming 64-bit version of Windows Vista and also helps with the battery life somewhat over the older Core Duo. The problem is Dell chose to use slower PC2-4200 DDR memory instead of the better suited PC2-5300 DDR. This holds back the system from what it could be.

Expandability is somewhat limited. The dell 6400 battery is user upgradable, with both the hard drive and memory chips in accessible bottom compartments. However, docking is nothing fancy, with only a couple of options--the better one being a screen stand port replicator, a $103 extra. (You must provide the wireless keyboard and mouse.)

All in all, Dell has another winner in the souped-up E1505. Though not for gamers, the E1505 is a strong contender for your consumer dollar.

For as long as we can remember Dell had a stance that it would never release a computer that didn’t have an Intel chip inside. But just as you can now run Windows on a Mac, you’ll find that Dell is offering its first AMD chips in the form of the Inspiron 1501 notebook.

It’s not just the use of the AMD chip that makes this a bargain machine. Dell has designed this machine specifically for the budget sector, so you won’t find too many frills. For instance, the build quality isn’t that great. Sure, it gets the job done but there is a definite flex to the chassis when you push it. Ideally, we’d like a bit more robustness in our notebooks.

For the average user, this makes a great computer.   It is not a power house, but most people do not require a $5000 laptop.   The owner of this will be using it for school.   They are able to use the wireless connection with ease, access Microsoft Word, and do a bit of web editing.

I would give the build quality a 7.5 out of ten.   It feels a little plasticy, but durable.

Lots of USB Ports (2 in back & 2 on right hand side) so we can plug in anything we want. I was surprised to find that it had a media card slot that functions for SD and MMC. I would love to see XD and CF support, but I will not turn down this computer.

This machine has everything you need in a laptop that is for light use. I purchased machine during the holidays to replace my wife's kitchen receipe/email machine that gave up the ghost after many years. It has a large bright and crisp screen. Very vibrant. It is very fast as well. Our internet based email opens up instantly without any hesitation. The lay out is very easy to sort out and the unit is really good looking as well. There is dell inspiron 1501 battery minimal software on board, but that is OK since I already own what I need. Like I said it is for light use. You may interested to know that this is our 4th Dell. I find the machines remarkably reliable and, if you need customer service, don't worry. They are second to none. They are always very helpful and knowledgable and can walk you through any issue you may have. You can not beat the value of this laptop and believe me...I have looked!

2 months after purchase my DVD drive broke, 5 months my hardrive was replaced with a refirbished Toshiba. I felt as if I had received a lemon. Dell reported to me I had to have 3 components go bad before I could have the laptop replaced. Technical support was helping fix my computer when it was having problems opening pages. I was on the phone for 5 hours with a technition when it froze. I was told a inspiron 1501 battery relpacement of the hard drive would be sent. Replacement took 2 weeks to arrive. I purchased a 2 year warrenty with in home repair technition. I was insructed that the harddrive and DVD player was an easy istallation and did not require a visit from a technition. Poor customer service is another reason I would not recommend buying a Dell.

This dell 1501, is an inspiron.
Inspirons are of a really good design and made to a great standard, there has now been so much different models of inspiron made, so it must be a good laptop.
This particular dell inspiron 1521 battery is great for anyone who needs an good running laptop, with lots of memory and just something to last them through college, university or just someone who wants a good laptop.

It features AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile technology TK-53 / 1.7 Ghz processor, and has a 1 gb of ram installed. However like with a lot of dells this can be upgraded to a maximum of 2 gb, which is great if you do need a lot more memory on your laptop.

The minimum for most laptops seems to be a 80 gb hard drive. However this dell has a great 120 gb Serial ATA-150 - 5400 rpm hard drive built in. its great to see dell has gone a bit further for their customers and instead of just giving them a basic 80gb hard drive have given them a 120 gb hard drive instead.

My husband purchased a Dell 1501 battery for me for my birthday a couple of years ago. He was given a color choice and selected pink for me when he purchased the laptop online. Well, he waited and waited and waited till my birthday had come and gone and he had no gift for me! It turns out that the Dell factory was having trouble with painting the color on the laptops and there was a huge delay by several months. My husband decided to cancel my order and we went to Wal-Mart and purchased my Dell there with just the gray color on the top of the laptop. They weren't having trouble with the gray color but they were with certain colors like the pink, blue, white, etc. Also, another small problem that we ran into was that Vista was the only operating system they sold on the Inspiron's. The laptop has been wonderful to have for the last two years, I keep it on most of the day and it has never given me any problems. Also, the keyboard is the perfect size and I got the larger 17" screen and it is perfect for when I use Photoshop. I plan to get another Dell when I need a laptop in the future!

The Dell’s dimensions are 14" x 10.45" x 1.44". It weighs 6.19 lbs. with the standard six-cell battery installed. We started our configuration process from the Everyday Performance model for the 1501, which includes a 1.7 GHz Turion X2 TK-53 CPU (you can bump up to the 1.8 GHz TL-56 for $60, and to the 2.0 GHz TL-60 for $100). It comes equipped with Windows Vista Home Basic, but for $29 you can upgrade to Windows Vista Home Premium (the better to take advantage of multimedia capabilities) CANON NB-5L battery. Included is 1 GB of DDR2 533 MHz RAM, which you can double for $150. An 80 GB hard disk is stock, but you can go with a 120 GB model instead for $55. A 24X CD burner/DVD combo drive is included, but it’s probably worth switching to the 8X CD/DVD burner with dual-layer capability for $40. You can also add an integrated Sond Blaster Audigy HD Software Edition for $25 (again, probably worth it for those with multimedia needs).

Graphics are integrated, so you won’t want to use it for anything more than watching DVDs or editing digital images but the screen is pleasingly bright and clear fujifilm np-80 battery. You won’t find too many extras included, Wi-Fi supports 802.11g but the Ethernet is a standard 10/100 Base-T offering. The DVD rewriter supports dual-formats but not dual-layer.

Vostro 1700 has finally arrived in my office today. A friend in the US ordered this laptop for me from Dell last October 10 and received it on October 30. Then on November 9 he sent the laptop in a balikbayan box package through Forexworld. Forexworld, btw, is a shipping company with headquarters in the US that ships packages to the Philippines hp pavilion dv2630ea battery. It took 48 days to deliver the package from Forexworld warehouse to my address. It came earlier than I expected. The shipping costs $135 only and I didn’t have to pay any taxes since it is in a balikbayan box. At first I was hesitant to send this through a balikbayan box but Forexworld did a good job on delivering my new laptop in one piece.

The horizontal viewing angles are very good, but a couple of degrees up or down and most colors look differently. The sound system can be turned very laud adding more to the “home cinema” effect on a laptop. Overall Vostro 1700 is well suited for all kind of applications, performing well in any situation. Generally very quiet, it gets very hot at the bottom. The keyboard is solid and complete, but it will take a while to get used to “where is Delete button?” – some buttons that on normal PC computers are founded down-rigth, at Dell laptops are placed up-right.

Compared to the size of this notebook, the touchpad is really small – if you don’t have small fingers, you will end up with your fingers in the scrolling area olympus li-12b battery. 3 USB ports, the modem connection and the S-Video output are located at the back, wireless switch and the ExpressCard slot at the left, headphones/microphone connections, DVD drive, 8-in-1 memory card reader, IEEE 1394 (Firewire), an external monitor output, Ethernet port and two more USB ports at the right.

Whereas the Latitude D810 was more of a desktop replacement, the 2.9kg D820 approaches the more portable thin-and-light territory. The D820 is also about 8mm thinner than the D810, putting the D820's overall dimensions at 36cm wide, 26.2cm deep and 3.56cm high. Still, the Dell Latitude D820 battery is the largest system in the Latitude lineup, with the closest runner-up being the 2.8kg Latitude D510. Although the D820 is also slightly larger than the ThinkPad T60 and the HP Compaq nc6320, it's about the same size as the 3kg Acer TravelMate 8204. All in all, the Latitude D820 may not be the lightest business notebook around, but it's not so burdensome that semi-frequent fliers shouldn't consider making it their travel companion.

In summary, the Latitude D820 is a very nice choice for the desk jockey professional or student. This machine, with its 15.4″ widescreen, is not meant for world travel but for flexibility, productivity, and a little bit of portability. At a pinch it can be used on a plane or on a lap but, for the most part, I would not travel extensively with the D820. For its form factor, however, I do not think you will find a better balance between portability and build quality than the Dell Latitude D830 battery. I would wholeheartedly recommend this notebook to anyone looking for an effective tool to get some serious work done.

The hard drive capacity is ample, although I do store the majority of my work on an external hard drive. Battery life is good when the battery is new. I've had to replace my battery once, but that is to be expected.

I've had to call Dell once at the very beginning of my Latitude's life, and arrange for an engineer to fix a very minor fault with the keyboard. It was still under warranty and the laptop was fixed within 5 minutes. I was very impressed with the service I received from Dell.

Like all Dell Latitude notebooks, the dell vostro 1500 battery
features a durable design, including a magnesium alloy casing, steel hinges, and StrikeZone protection for the hard drive. ExpressCharge technology enables you to recharge the battery to 80 percent capacity in about an hour. Dell backs this business system with a three-year warranty.

When I first uncased the dell latitude d830 laptop battery from its Styrofoam packaging, I was impressed by the solidness of its build. It felt sturdy and the laptop casing didn't flex when handled. The case is billed as being magnesium alloy and most of the notebook's body looks as if it is. The laptop was about as thin as I expected but it was a bit heavier than I thought it would be. It's not an uncomfortable heft but one that implies a certain quality of build. At first glance, the notebook is not awe-inspiring but it is pleasing to the eye with an understated charcoal gray finish. At first blush, a tastefully styled (though by no means beautiful) and well-built notebook. Also included in the packaging were the user manual, software and OS CDs, and the AC power adapter.

I have had a couple of minor problems which haven't been consistent. Once or twice the screen hasn't been sufficiently bright when running off the battery. Upon shut down and re-start everything has been ok. I've also had a couple of blue screens but these have been fairly in-frequent. One or two keys on the keyboard have occassionally flicked off, but are easy to put back.

Compared to its predecessor, the Dell Latitude D820 laptop battery looks like it's been on Weight Watchers--and we love the results. This corporate system weighs a half-pound less than the laptop it replaces, the D810, making it sleeker and markedly more portable. Yet the Latitude D820 offers everything the prior version did and more, including a crisp, 15.4-inch wide screen; an Intel Core Duo processor; and cutting-edge options such as integrated wireless WAN and biometric security.

In terms of warranty,
sony vgp-bps2 battery it comes with a 3-year warranty and Dell throw in on-site repairs within 24 hours (assuming you can't fix the problem yourself under the guidance of the Dell support team). Dell also provide access to their support website where you can download the latest drivers or diagnostic software or chat in forums with other users and you can on a good day even engage in an online chat with Dells support team.

Price:
This is entirely dependant on the configuration of the machine. The entry level is around the £800 mark but you can pay up to around £1400 if you go for the top of the line model with all the extras. On top of that business users get their discounts so its very difficult to put an exact price on it.

I purchased the Dell Inspiron 1545 battery back in January for my daughter's birthday. I had a limited budget but wanted to get her something with decent enough spec for playing computer games should she wish to do this, and a large hard drive as she is a big fan of making videos on her digital camera and downloading music - two things which can eat up hard drive space.

I did a fair bit of research before purchasing and decided I wanted to get the best spec I possibly could for my money and the Inspiron ticked all the boxes. I paid £399 in January 2009 in Currys for the laptop which was the absolute limit on my budget.
The Dell I purchased has a dark blue coloured lid, however the rest of it is a shiny piano black which looks lovely. I would have preferred metal for the mousepad area - it feels sturdier and doesn't seem to attract the dust the way the piano black plastic does - however that's a small quibble. The screen is widescreen and measures 15.6 inches and overall it's pretty lightweight and easy to carry about if you wish to do so.

So - what came in the box?
As well as the laptop there was an instruction manual, mains lead, Dell restoration CD-ROMs and a CD-ROM for Works 9.

The laptop had Windows Vista Premium pre-installed - and I worried that this might be a challenge for me as it was my introduction to Vista - however setting the machine up was a piece of cake.
I merely switched it on and dealt with a few prompts as Vista set up and then the computer was up and running. It has wifi installed and this picked up my wireless connection without any problems - and once I entered the security details for my network we were home and dry and online in no time!

When I was researching laptops I learned that you really need a minimum of 2GB RAM to run Vista properly, so this was another factor to consider when deciding the spec I needed for her laptop.
The laptop had a trial version of MacAfee installed but I decided to ignore this and installed AVG instead as my daughter is more familiar with it. I also decided to install the Works program that came with the dell 1x793 battery laptop rather than Office as she really only needs a word processing program at the moment. I was concerned she may find it hard to use at first but we had no such worries.

What I really noticed about this little beauty was the speed - it loads really quickly and smoothly. The processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.00 Ghz and there is 3GB RAM. This combination makes the Inspiron easily the fastest computer in the house - making me green with envy!
So onto the litmus test - did my daughter like it? Well yes - she loved it! She was really pleased to have this compact little laptop in her bedroom instead of the old desktop computer she had had in the past. She loved how she didn't need a wireless adaptor, the speed, and everything about it! The laptop has a large hard drive of 250 GB but this is half full already - just over 3 months since she got it, so I can foresee me having to get an external hard drive for her in the future.

I had worried about her learning how to use Vista, but like all 12 year olds, she picked it up far quicker than I did, so my fears were unfounded.
There are three USB ports, which so far I have found sufficient. The laptop does have speakers but they are a bit on the tinny side and given my daughter listens to a lot of music on her computer, I got her some USB powered speakers which offer fantastic sound quality.

The laptop also has an integral SD card reader which is invaluable for my daughter as she can easily upload photos and videos from her camera and also copy music onto the SD card she uses in her new Nintendo DSi.
There is a CD/DVD RW drive which works a treat - my daughter thoroughly enjoys making music CDs up using it and has also burned the occasional DVD featuring some of her many video clips. She can also watch DVDs on the laptop but hasn't used the laptop this way - she prefers to watch her DVDs on TV. (Dell Latitude D630 battery , Dell XPS M1730 battery)It also came with Windows Media Center already installed which was an extra bonus as my daughter was already familiar with this from her old desktop computer and was delighted to still be able to use it for her videos, photos and music.

The Inspiron I purchased does not have a built-in webcam but this feature is available on some models.
The one thing we haven't tested is the battery life - Dell claim it's 2 hours however. As my daughter hasn't removed it from her bedroom since she got it I cannot tell you for sure. As she just recently broke the screen on my Samsung laptop, resulting in a large repair bill, she is probably too scared to move this one!

I am really pleased with the Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop battery and think it's a really good buy for children or students as it's easy to use, fast to load and has a large hard drive but is available at a good price for the spec offered.
I do advise getting some half decent speakers to use with it however and cleaning it regularly - the piano black doesn't half attract the dust and show up fingerprints.

Overall this is a good machine for the money and it can be found in various outlets right now, including Currys, Tesco and Dell online.
